Topography is a multi-platform documentary exploring how humans relate to, and separate ourselves from, “nature”. Set in and around North American National Parks, Topography fragments across time, species, scales, and histories to reveal how different perspectives shape the land and its futures. The project includes films, immersive experiences, interactive websites, performances, and installations.

Topography is a collaboration between Hannah Jayanti & Alexander Porter. It explores how we relate to, and separate ourselves from, a natural world increasingly shaped by human influence.
As lead designer of the on-going project I have been in charge of defining a cohesive visual language that can be applied to its multi-format framework: from the purely graphic artifacts used to communicate research and intents of the documentary footage, to the interface elements of immersive installations and live performances.
